Residential
energy storage

Our residential energy storage services provide a solution for storing excess energy from renewable power sources and their ideal utilization at a later point in time.

With the help of a properly sized residential energy storage system, users are able to optimize their household energy costs, ensuring greater independence from the power grid.

In the event of grid power outages, the residential energy storage unit can provide electricity to consumers up to the installed capacity.

Applications of residential energy storage

Sustainable energy storage and use

Security in case of power outage

Lower electricity bills

Value added investment

Optimization of energy use

Energy arbitrage

Residential energy storage: frequently asked questions

What is a residential energy storage unity good for?

A residential energy storage system is capable of storing the excess energy produced by renewable energy sources and harnessing it at a later date. In addition, it can be used to effectively bridge longer power outages, thus ensuring greater independence from the grid.

What does it mean if an inverter is hybrid?

Hybrid inverters can handle both solar cells and batteries at the same time, ensuring even more efficiency coverage.

How much energy can be stored in a residential storage unit?

Typically, the most common residential energy storage facilities have a capacity between 5 and 20 kWh. However, we are also able to accommodate a higher energy demand as tailor made solutions.

How long time gap can a residential energy storage unit bridge?

The bridging time of a residential energy unit depends largely on the user's electrical equipment connected to the internal grid. This can range from several hours to several days in the case of larger units.

How long are today's residential energy storage systems operational?

Depending on how they are used, energy storage units can be operational for up to 10-15 years. Life cycle is greatly influenced by the unit's average state of charge, and the amount of discharge and charging performance.

100 pieces of residential energy storage units
The E.ON Power Grid Ltd was looking for a residential energy storage that could track the external control signal, receive commands and settings (updates) from higher-level power management systems in order to optimize the use of distributed flexible resources. Other main functions: power balancing, voltage support, support for instructions coming from the Aggregator.

THE CHALLENGE: Design of a device that complies with the written technical specification in functions and control execution.

THE SOLUTION: The project was completed with the delivery of 100 residential battery energy storage units of 14.21 kWh storage capacity, with 8kW inverters. Thanks to our wide partner base, we were able to complete the order on time in accordance with both the economic and technical requirements.
Dúzs energy storage system
In order to preserve the stability of its energy network, the E.ON Hungaria group commissioned us to build a battery-powered, mobile energy storage system in the municipality of Dúzs. The system was intended to store the excess energy generated by the renewable energy resources in the area and, if necessary, re-feed it into the distribution grid.

THE CHALLENGE: The timely design and creation of a complex energy storage unit according to strict specifications, in an environment where the relevant regulations are not yet fully mature.

THE SOLUTION: We selected the most ideal partner for the task, organized the import of the battery-powered energy storage, installed the system with the help of our team and put it into operation within the agreed deadline.
