The ThdG Trade and Service Ltd energy storage business unit was established in 2019 by a group of Hungarian electrical engineers.
The owners decided on entering the energy storage market after the success of their previous venture, the ODD Consulting Ltd, founded in 2007, which became a leading company group in the market of electricity meters and metering. They expected THdG to be as successful as its predecessor.
After the establishment of the business unit, our company successfully participated in several profitable procurement procedures. For example, we delivered a 100 residential energy storage units of 8 kW / 14,21 kWh capacity to the E. ON network licensee, and a 250 kW/ 573 kWh network energy storage unit was also put into operation.
Our main area of expertise is the design, licensing, construction, recurrent maintenance and continuous status monitoring of various energy storage solutions.
In accordance with the Hungarian law on electrical energy, we implement energy storage along the following three segments.

Commercial and industrial energy storage
Industrial energy storage (DSO, TSO)

As a qualified electrical engineer, I have been working in metering technology for over 15 years, spending more than 10 years in a senior position. My main clients have always been distribution network licensees, and over the past 10 years we have grown to be the largest supplier of metering in this domain.
My goal is to create a motivating environment where my colleagues are happy to come to work each day. I also seek to build a team that is capable of performing tasks and serving our clients with a high level of professional knowledge and precision, with an equal emphasis on maintaining team spirit and supporting each other. I believe that only a well-functioning team with excellent products and management can maintain a satisfied customer base and remain effective in the long run.

As a qualified electrical plant engineer and lighting engineer with an MBA certified degree in economy, I have 30 years of engineering and 25 years of management (including 8 years of senior management) experience with in the electricity industry.
During this time I accumulated significant knowledge in the fields of network loss reduction, operation of consumer invoicing systems, metering activity management, LEAN project management, network investments and network operation.
I invest this knowledge and experience gained during my professional career in the management of teams working with well-defined goals. My main motivation is to build a company in which precision, industry expertise and financial efficiency create a perfect balance together.
Istvan Kóczián

Graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and later I obtained a higher MBA in economics at the Faculty of Economics at ELTE.
I have nearly 10 years of experience in power engineering and metering, 5 years of which I have spent as an expert manager in Hungarian power supply metering.
Aside from being committed to continuous self-improvement, I am characterized by precision and determination. In my work I am motivated by the successful completion of complex and challenging tasks. My current tasks include the coordination of technical projects, the implementation of tendering procedures, consultation on standards, technical and economic calculations.

As a graduate economist and electrical engineer, I view sales as a professional challenge and task, seeking to help our clients with a complete technical offer and professional support.
I gained years of metering and network design experience in the power supply sector, where I coordinated the connection of two battery-powered energy storage networks installed within the framework of the lElectrix Horizon 2020 project. I can effectively integrate these experiences into my current responsibilities. During my daily work I’m inspired by working with innovative technologies, participating in product development and pursuing customer satisfaction.
As Head of Sales I am responsible for product portfolio development, the execution of public procurement tenders and sales strategy development.

Since my childhood, I have been drawn to technical knowledge, thus making it was a natural decision to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. I have worked on various technical tasks, both at small and large companies, ranging from design to execution, and from project management to software development. I am now able to leverage these experiences in my current role.
Alongside continuous professional growth, creating a positive atmosphere with clients and colleagues is my top priority. I firmly believe that mutually beneficial collaborations can only be achieved through clear communication.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, my focus is on building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to the development of our residential business sector as well.
